NEW HAVEN CT - A LOOSE PIT BULL ATTACKED AN 11-YEAR-OLD BOY AS HE WAS PLAYING IN THE DRIVEWAY OF A NEIGHBOR'S HOME

Police said an 11-year-old boy suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries Friday morning when he was attacked by a PIT BULL  on Lexington Avenue.
The child was playing in the driveway at 155 Lexington Ave. which is not where he lives, when he was attacked around 10:40 a.m., police said in a release. The dog was loose and it is unclear who the owner is, according to the release.
A passer-by was able to separate the dog from the victim and hold onto it, police said. Animal Control officers secured the dog and quarantined it at the NHPD Animal Shelter. The investigation remains open.
The boy suffered injuries to his face, police said. His injuries are significant but not life-threatening, and he was treated at Yale New Haven Hospital’s Pediatric Emergency Department, according to the release.
Police said the dog’s owner likely will face charges once police determine who it is.

But pit bulls only lick people to death! I don't understand why there is a problem if pit bulls attack children? Pit bulls are just trying to nanny! How can they nanny if random passersby stop them in the middle of nannying?

Yeah, that's how nutters sound!
