Because dog fighting is illegal in a controlled environment, it is perfectly legal in an uncontrolled environment. Does that make sense?Dog fighting has a very distinct list of elements that must be met in order to be classified as dog fighting. I'm going to find the list that distinguishes dog fighting in a fighting ring, and street dog fighting.
The only thing I came up with is, if the dog fight is for sport, wagering, or entertainment, then it is a class 4 felony. I recommend that someone throw down a dollar bill and bet on a dog. Watching this dog fight makes me wonder how the dog fighting men of yore would separate the dogs while fighting? It sure seems like those "locked jaws" are hard to open. Why aren't the fighting dogs "trained" to release?
LOL! Sorry, it's probably inappropriate to laugh, but I'm sure those pits were just fine, I was wondering if some of the guys standing around were placing bets. And really, it's Ohio, pits rule the day, who is surprised by this?
