A Killeen woman is asking herself why a PIT BULL was inside a ride-sharing vehicle she called to give her sister a ride.
Carmen Garcia says she was helping her disabled sister into a car from Heart Scent Rides when a pit bull already in the car came lunging toward her.
“It ripped my dog out of my hands. I can’t even explain it” Garcia said.
Garcia says the pit bull left her with wounds to her hand and face.
Says she was protecting her sister from being bitten by the dog when all of the sudden the pit bull grabbed her 3-year old Yorkie, Mason.
She says he was bitten and needed medical attention.
She took him to the vet but didn’t make it.
“I lost my best friend, I have no words, no words to talk. It’s hard, I lost my best friend. I’ve been crying since Saturday”
We did reach out to the company’s owner who says she is sorry this took place.
And has offered to pay for her vet bill and pet’s cremation.
Heart Scent Rides is no longer in business.
As for Garcia, she just wants others to be careful when calling for a ride to prevent a similar situation from taking place.
