 (RNN Texoma) -
Authorities in Duncan are continuing to investigate after a 3-year-old girl was killed on Sunday by a family dog.
According to officials, the attack happened near F Street and Demolay Avenue in east Duncan. The circumstances surrounding the attack are still being investigated but authorities did say the girl was attacked and dragged outside by the dog  -which has been described as a "BULLDOG MIXED-BREED". When officers arrived on the scene the dog began to approach them and it was shot and killed. Officers then began to perform life-saving measures on the girl before EMS arrived. The girl ultimately died of her injuries. Officials said the dog had only been in the home for about two weeks.
The girl was taken to the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's Office where they will perform an autopsy. The dog was also taken and will have an autopsy performed on it as well.

DUNCAN  A 3-year-old girl was killed and police had to put down the dog at the scene, according to Duncan's police chief.
Officers responded to the 600 block F Street "a little before 4 p.m." on the report of a dog attack. Police Chief Dan Ford said officers arrived and found the dog had drug the girl out in the yard and was attacking her when they arrived.
"Officers got the dog off the girl and dispatched the dog," Ford said. "They tried to do CPR on the girl but she didn't make it."
Ford said that detectives remained at the scene late in the evening, visiting with the family, gathering evidence and speaking with witnesses. The girl, whom police did not identify was sent to the state Medical Examiner's Office in Oklahoma City for autopsy.

(KSWO) - A Duncan girl's death is under investigation after a dog attack inside a home. Duncan Police Lt. John Byers said it happened around 3 p.m. on Sunday. Officers responded to a dog bite call at a home around F Street.

The girl was taken to the hospital, but died there from her injuries. The girl's identity has not been released.
When officers got to the scene, the medium sized MIX-BREED dog ran off. When the dog was later found, Byers said the dog started toward the officer, and the dog was shot. Byers said the dog will be sent to a veterinarian to determine the exact breed. The dog was a family pet.
Byers said police are interviewing witnesses, and continuing to investigate what led up to the attack and the girl's death.

It was a pit bull, no DNA test required. Pit bulls always show their true colors by killing anything that is alive.

"It's all in how you raise 'em" right pit bull advocates? How does anyone know how this pit bull was raised? Where is that "How To Raise Pit Bulls" manual anyway? I've always wondered if there is such a thing?

1. Make sure the pit bull knows you are the alpha. Pit bulls need strong leaders.

2. Make sure you properly socialize pit bulls. We won't explain how to socialize pit bulls, but make sure you do it or we will throw the book at you.

3. Make sure not to leave the nanny dog alone with any child, ever, not even for a minute, even though "nanny dog" gives everyone the impression that the pit bull will keep a mindful eye on your children, not try to kill them.

4. When your pit bull becomes too much of a menace to live in the house with you like a normal dog, chain it up outside so you don't have to deal with it. If any child or person gets too close and something bad happens, it's their own fault.

5. If your pit bull does something, like attack the neighbor cat, let everyone know your sweet little wiggle butt has never done that before.

6. If the same sort of attack happens in public, do your best to stand there and watch the attack. Do nothing to remove your well raised pit bull from the victim. Once everyone else has pried the jaws of death from little Fluffy, grab your mauler and run away and take no responsibility. You get more free attacks that way. If there's no paper trail, there are no repercussions.

I could go on, but it's getting late, and there are way too many nutterisms to list.

May this poor girl rest in peace. Another victim of pit bull advocacy that did not have to lose her life to a breed that has no legal or valid right to exist. Dog fighting is a felony. At the very least, murder by dog should be too.

Euthanize a pit bull, save a life. That should be a bumper sticker. Sorry, not sorry advocates.

Anonymous 10:07,
if I may, I'd like to amend #4 by adding:

As an alternative to chaining, you can give your aggressive pit bull to an unsuspecting friend, relative, or even a complete stranger with no disclosure of its previous attack history.

RIP little girl. You didn't have a chance. Every person who has spread these lies in order to advocate for pits is responsible for each and every mauling and death. May God have mercy on their souls.

Farmer Jane, and anyone else, feel free to add whatever you'd like to my fictional "How To Raise Pit Bulls" manual.

I thought of adding a responsibility chapter, like, why spay or neuter? Why do I have to register my pit bull? I'm an anti-vaxer because rabies ain't dangerous. Leash laws? What's that?

More ideas, don't ring doorbells, it might set pittie poo off like a hand grenade. Text me instead!

Go online to every horrible news story and deny it was a pit bull, talk about your dangerous Chihuahua, and post a picture of your pit bull in a tutu, preferably with an infant nearby.

I didn't watch the video until later. The dad seems hardly upset. If my 3-year-old was just mauled to death, I would have a hard time talking through the tears. There is one point where he smiles about how depressed he is.

I don't know, I think there is something seriously wrong with this guy. I read a comment on dogsbite.org's facebook page, and someone else noticed the bizarre, creepy reaction.

I'm sure we will learn more horrible details about this death. A death that was 100% preventable. Let the pit bulls die at the dog pound! WHO CARES ABOUT PIT BULLS MORE THAN THEIR CHILDREN? NUTTERS!

Did the child have a mother? I find it strange that I hear nothing about a mother.

"He took his son over to the friend’s house to make sure the dog was friendly with children."

So he took his son to offer up as sacrifice first. Great.
