REFORM, PICKENS COUNTY AL - A FRIEND'S PIT BULL MAULED TANNER SMITH, 17 MONTHS OLD, LEAVING HIM WITH HORRIFIC INJURIES TO HIS NECK, FACE, HEAD AND HIS EAR HAD TO BE SEWN BACK ON ... IT WAS BECAUSE OF STUFFED ANIMALS!!!

(WIAT)-A young child is recovering after he was attacked and mauled by a dog four days ago in Pickens County.  The child had to get dozens of stitches at Childrens Hospital in Birmingham.

17 month old Tanner Smith was released from the hospital and is now home recovering with his mother.  Sheriff David Abston says the victims family was visiting friends at a home on Cunningham Road in reform Friday when the attack happened.
"Well the dog liked to play with stuffed animals and they would play tug of war with him.  And the dog liked to bite on stuffed animal toys.  And I think that is what led to what happened here with this dog attack".
Tanner Smith was on the porch when the residents  PIT BULL DOG  bit the child in the neck and head. Sheriff Abston says the animal was too dangerous to be captured so the Pit Bull mix had to be euthanized.
"Well it was just heartbreaking to see the child suffer, he had wounds to his ear and face and head area.  But seeing him today and the good job doctors did at Childrens hospital and the stitches look good and he is healing fast and we are thankful the child is doing well".
Abston says the dog's owner will not face criminal charges.

"Sheriff Abston says the animal was too dangerous to be captured so the Pit Bull mix had to be euthanized.". This is where the idiot, pit loving sheriff loses all credibility with his stuffed animal story.
