You are right Decatur, it definitely sounds like pit bulls. Unprovoked attack? CheckAttack in victim dog's own yard? CheckSustained attack? CheckIrresponsible owner unable to stop attack? CheckEar ripped off? CheckNeck ripped open? CheckAnimal Control ineffective? CHECK!Devastated owner of victim dog? CHECK!Unconcerned government officials? CHECK!It is Illinois after all, where Breed Specific Legislation does not have a chance because it has already been decided by #LedyVankavage that the citizens do not need protection from pit bulls. How thoughtful that a childless hag can decide how best to protect the rest of us from what she calls "regular dogs". What other dog breed has lobbies making sure ownership remains legal, when the very thing that pit bulls are bred for is a felony? It is a complete contradiction and so easy to see through. Pit bull advocates...Keeping dog fighting legal since 1976Pit bulls are out of the pit, and random, normal pet dogs are the target. Normal people do not want this, but pit bull advocates are perfectly satisfied with the slaughter of other people's pets, as long as it's not one of their sacred pit bulls.
I'd have guns on that fence 24/7!!! Really disappointed the police didn't soot and kill the pits! I can imagine the suffocation and anxiety these poor people feel! People have a right to feel safe in their yards and homes.... unfortunately this means nothing to Pitbull owners and their nasty "babies".
