CLAY, JEFFERSON COUNTY AL - A NEIGHBOR'S PIT BULL BROKE THROUGH A WOOD FENCE ...THEN A CHAIN-LINK FENCE ...IN AN ATTEMPT TO ATTACK A FAMILY AND THEIR 2 DOGS

Image may contain: plant and outdoor

PSA: if you have an animal- especially a large aggressive one-, make sure you have the proper fencing to contain the animal.

After what happened this evening, NO ONE can ever convince me that pit bulls are good dogs. Our neighbor has a very large pit who broke through a wooden fence and our chain fence not once but TWICE in an attempt to attack. Luckily my husband stopped the animal long enough for me, our son and two dogs to get inside. Now we must figure out how to repair our fence to keep this beast of an animal out of our yard. Per the sheriff (4 showed up to this call. Great job Jeff Co.) if this animal comes back in our yard, we are well within our legal right to shoot it— And we will.

It's the Wild Wild West out there! The massive pit bull should be declared dangerous and dirt napped. What are we waiting for? It's not going to end well. As long as the pit bull gets a bullet, I'm okay with it.

Instead of having breed specific legislation that deals humanely with these monsters, we put people and pets in mortal danger and let them fend for themselves. I have a pit bull problem across the street from me. Let me tell you, several warnings from Animal Control, and police involvement have done nothing to prevent the owner from allowing the pit bull to run at large.

Everyone knows pit bulls are not dogs: they are werewolves.

I suggest an electrified fence, and a shotgun.
