Alton Animal Control Officer Steve Bosaw, right, talks with an Alton Police officer Wednesday in the 3700 block of Horn Ave. in Alton after an officer was forced to shoot and kill an aggressive  PIT BULL, background.

The dog apparently tried to attack the officer in a front yard near the street’s gutter.

An officer had been to the address earlier and reported that two dogs were “out of control”.
At that time they were contained in their back yard, which was apparently on Coronado Street.

Animal control was delayed in responding due to a separate PIT BULL bite incident on Elliott Avenue.

The officer returned when animal control was on the way and this time, one of the dogs was out and tried to attack the officer, who defended himself.

Is the pit bull going to be okay?

Just kidding! So glad another out of control pit bull got an immediate dirt nap.

This is ridiculous. Breed dogs to attack and kill them for attacking. Why are people breeding them?
