HAGERSTOWN, WASHINGTON CO MD - A 70-YEAR-OLD WOMAN WAS FLOWN BY MEDICAL HELICOPTER TO CURTIS NATIONAL HAND CENTER BALTIMORE AFTER A PIT BULL BIT HER ON THE HAND
A 70-year-old woman was flown to The Curtis National Hand Center in Baltimore Wednesday evening after she was bitten in the hand by a PIT BULL, according to a Washington County 911 supervisor.
Authorities were told that the woman and her husband were attacked in the area of 13548 Cresspond Road, off Rockdale Road between Hagerstown and Clear Spring, the supervisor said. The woman's husband was not taken to the hospital.
The Humane Society of Washington County responded and took custody of the dog, the supervisor said.
A medical helicopter landed at Hagerstown Speedway to transport the woman.
