A woman described being attacked by  TWO PIT BULLS  after she stepped in to help her neighbor.

Kelly Babbit says she saw her neighbor being attacked while trying to save her own cat.  When she tried to help, she says the two dogs turned on her.

"I got to there and the dog looked at me and the little one took a running leap and locked onto my face and I went down and when I went down, the big one came and locked on my head," said Babbit.

Her son said he heard her screaming went outside to help.

"I pushed one off to the side but the other one came up and bit me on my leg and he bit me on my other leg but didn't get me as good.  And as soon as we threw him off, we ran inside and called the cops."

The dogs were later handed over to animal welfare workers. Neighbors in the area say they have reported the pit bulls running loose in the neighborhood for months.  Investigators said all three of the injured victims are expected to be okay. Babbit is just glad no children were hurt.

"If that had a been a kid, they would have killed the kid."
