(KXAN) -- A man is facing charges after he allegedly used his dog to hurt someone in a fight in downtown Austin Saturday, according to an arrest affidavit.
The paperwork says Christopher Beasley, who was walking with a dog on a leash, approached two men engaged in a fistfight Saturday morning in a parking lot at East Seventh Street and Interstate 35.
When Beasley was closer to the fight, he intentionally let go of the leash and the dog bit one of the two men fighting two to three times before Beasley grabbed the leash again, a witness told police.
That man showed the police bite marks on his upper left thigh that had multiple puncture wounds that were bleeding, police said. ATC EMS took him to the hospital for treatment.
Witnesses told police Beasley intentionally released his dog to attack the victim.
The affidavit says other officers at the scene said Beasley has done this before but previous victims did not want to press charges.
Beasley is charged with Assault with Injury. He remained in the Travis County Jail Sunday with a $7,500 bond.
