CUMBERLAND COUNTY TN - A 71-YEAR-OLD MAN DELIVERING PIZZAS SUFFERED SIGNIFICANT INJURIES AFTER HE WAS ATTACKED BY A "LARGE" PIT BULL

A Cumberland County man sustained significant injuries after a brutal attack by a PIT BULL  last Friday.

The incident report states the 71-year-old male victim was working as a pizza delivery man when he went to a wrong address on Deathridge Road. (only a couple of houses separated the actual address of the delivery from this one) He said there were no markings of what number house it was.

When he approached the front of the home, the 150 pound dog (weight according to incident report) came out the open door and attacked him. The homeowner reportedly told him the animal could not be controlled. The victim was able to get free after a three-minute battle and get back into his vehicle.

The owner of the dog stated, “They’ll definitely put the dog down now.” He was taken by ambulance to Cumberland Medical Center for emergency surgery, where numerous stitches were applied to his right arm and three staples to his head.
