BUFFALO NY - A 14TH MONTH OLD GIRL SUFFERED MULTIPLE LACERATIONS, SKULL FRACTURES AND PUNCTURE WOUNDS TO HER ABDOMEN AS SHE WAS ATTACKED BY A PIT BULL BELONGING TO A FRIEND OF HER FATHERS

Buffalo Police said an arrest has been made in connection with the Sunday night  PIT BULL ATTACK.  Police said in a tweet that the dog has also been seized.

(WIVB) A one year old girl is recovering slowly after being attacked by a PIT BULL  on Sunday on Watson Street in Buffalo.

Sanye Davis is only 14 months old but may have to spend up to two weeks at Oishei Childrens Hospital. On Sunday, she was attacked by a pit bull belonging to a friend of her father's in a home on Watson Street near Peckham in Buffalo.
Her mother, Jasmine Harris, says she needed two surgeries and stitches to her face and head. "They were pretty deep. I know each stitch is three stitches deep. They had to go three different layers. I know they were really, really deep and they're realy, really swolen now."
On Tuesday, Sanye was moved out of intensive care and into a regular room at the hospital. "She actually got an apetite," said Harris. "We got her to eat a little of her sausage, and she drank a little bit of her bottle, 240 milligrams of milk. She's smiling a little bit and talking a little bit, but she's still not completely herself yet."
A Buffalo Police spokesman says investigators have had limited contact with the dog's owner, and at this point, they haven't been able to actually find the dog itself. So for now, the investigation continues.
Harris is just looking for closure. "We really just want the dog either to be put to sleep or brought to the detectives or somebody so our daughter doesn't have to go through all these pain shots. She has to get three sets of different rabies shots and I just want it to end. Really I just want them to get the dog or talk to her so we can get a full story, because we still don't really know what happened. Me or the father were not there. We just got a phone call."
