WATTSBURG PA - A NEIGHBOR'S AMERICAN BULLDOG ATTACKED A 5-YEAR-OLD BOY CAUSING SERIOUS HEAD AND SCALP INJURIES - LIFEFLIGHT TO CHILDREN'S PITTSBURG



A dog bite seriously injured a child in Wattsburg Tuesday afternoon.
It was reported in the 14300 block of Lowville Rd. just after 5 p.m.
Reports from the scene indicate a 5 year old was bit by a neighbor's dog, and the child suffered a serious head injury.
State Police aren't releasing much information on the attack at this time, but they confirm that child was transported to the Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh overnight.
There is no word on his condition, but the injuries to the child's scalp were reportedly severe.
The  AMERICAN BULLDOG  reportedly belong to a neighbor who voluntarily agreed to quarantine the dog at a local animal shelter.
