PINSON, JEFFERSON COUNTY AL - A DOG MAULED A 4-YEAR-OLD BOY IN A TRUCK AT A CONVENIENCE STORE ...AIRLIFTED TO CHILDREN'S WITH SEVERE INJURIES!


A 4-year-old boy was airlifted to Children's of Alabama after being attacked by a dog in Jefferson County on Friday.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, the child and a PIT BULL  were inside a pickup truck at a gas station on Highway 75 in the Palmerdale area of Pinson when the dog suddenly turned on him.


"The child’s mother attempted to get the dog off of the child and was assisted by several citizens," the sheriff's office said in a statement. "They were finally able to get the dog off the child but the child suffered severe injuries."
The child's condition is unknown at this time.
The dog was taken into custody by animal control as authorities investigate the incident.
The sheriff's office says the attack happened at a convenience store on Hwy 75 in the Palmerdale Community. A caller told deputies the child was in a truck with the dog when it suddenly attacked him.
The child's mother, and several people nearby, were able to get the dog away from the boy, but not before he suffered severe injuries. The boy was airlifted to Children's Hospital for medical treatment, and the dog was taken into custody.
Authorities continue to investigate.

But, but, but, pit bulls are nanny dogs! There must be something wrong with that specific nanny dog.

When will parents learn that pit bulls and children don't mix? How many parents have to learn the hard way? Take a perfectly beautiful child and let it near a pit bull, hope your child survives, and if he or she does, hope they don't mind the scars and disabilities.

Wouldn't life be better without these dogs harming children? I think so, that's why I support Breed Specific Legislation. I have absolutely no use for pit bulls. What do pit bulls do? Attack, kill, destroy.
