My mother-in-law was brutally attacked yesterday by a pack of dogs owned by her neighbor while trying to save her Chihuahua in her own backyard. She was Airlifted to Bayonet Point Trauma Center in critical condition fighting for her life. They have performed 3 surgeries so far on her legs due to severe Vascular damage, she has no blood flow to her legs. Surgeons are doing everything they can at this point. The damage she has sustained to every part of her body is beyond anybody's imagination. She has over 58 puncture wounds to her belly and back. The dogs chewed and tore both sides of her neck, her scalp has been completely detached and torn from ear to ear, her right eye was also bitten. Every part of her body has suffered trauma from this attack. Please help my mother in law. She's going to need any and all help possible to pull through this. She is the kindest, sweetest, energetic little joy of a women that is now forced to fight through this life changing trauma.

We are the only family she has here in Florida. As much as we don't like reaching out for help and usually are the people always helping others, we really need everybody's help. It's clearly going to be a long road of recovery for her and with her being elderly her income is extremely limited.
We need everyone's help. Please, Please any little bit will help.

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. — A 64-year-old woman is fighting for her life at the hospital after officials say a pack of dogs attacked her and a group of people on Friday.

The Hernando County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a dog attack on Mayflower Road in Spring Hill around noon. Deputies say a woman and her small dog were in their backyard when a neighbor's pack of dogs spotted them from their own home.
The pack of dogs then pushed open a slider door that was "not closed properly" and charged after the 64-year-old woman and her small dog, deputies said. When the woman bent down to pick up her small dog, the pack of dogs began attacking the woman, according to deputies.

Deputies were told the attack lasted between five and seven minutes. It took the help of neighbors and crews with the Hernando County Fire Rescue to stop the attack. The person responsible for the dogs was able to get the suspect dogs back inside the home.
